Supply Chain Management
In order to ensure that materials are delivered on time according to the contract and in line with the project schedule, Petrogas has a very efficient SCM team. Expediting activities are systematically carried out according to a specific procedure that keeps the work process under control by means of periodic review of manufacturing schedules.
During surveillance, activities follow a specific check list that include
- Review of the order content and evaluation of supplier’s production capability.
- Review of contractual terms.
- Availability of the necessary material for the production and/or review of the scheduled time of arrival.
- Review of expediting activities of the supplier and the respective sub-suppliers(s).
Review of documents related to production and inspection.
- Actual production status and the production schedule, evaluation and review of the necessary time required for preparation of material for shipment, after final inspection.
After a review of the above points, the results of expediting activities are introduced into our system thus enabling an efficient and updated control of activities. We therefore keep our clients updated on the status of the order on a weekly basis. We have tie-ups with overland transport companies and arrangements with shipping lines and freight handling companies to ensure the mobility of the material smoothly and at the earliest to your destination. We offer tailor-made transport solutions according to specific requests by customers. Moreover, our shipping department is equipped with a professional team that has a clear understanding of INCO terms, custom, clearance and other procedures.
